As a racialized woman* have you been told that your experiences are so wildly different that they are unrelatable?
As a White woman have you been told you are a gatekeeper to opportunities for racialized women?
Now, what if there was a way to bridge these two narratives?
This is EXACTLY what WOMEN IN POWER is!
A dedicated space over 8-weeks to have the opportunity to bridge the two narratives and create your own allyship leadership practice.
*We use the term racialized instead of women of colour or BIWOC because a) we recognize race is a social construct; b) by labeling all non-white women as women of colour or BIWOC, we reduce their differences to one category. Throughout this website you will see the term racialized women to represent women from different racial and ethnic backgrounds.
Women In Power is a project of The Agora Foundation and financially supported by Suncor Energy Foundation.
