Women In Power begins where DEI programs end. Women In Power is about changing systems.

It is an experiential brave space to share your stories, address your bias, and change your narrative.

It is a space to realize the power and privilege you hold to make change happen.

It is a space to challenge and be challenged.

It is a space to introspect.

It is a space to learn, unlearn and relearn.

It is a space to make sense of your culture, upbringing, and lived experiences.

It is a space to challenge the norms.

It is a space to move from personal (inner work) to interpersonal (inclusive leadership) to community-focused (allyship) leadership.

*We use the term racialized instead of women of colour or BIWOC because a) we recognize race is a social construct; b) by labeling all non-white women as women of colour or BIWOC, we reduce their differences to one category. Throughout this website you will see the term racialized women to represent women from different racial and ethnic backgrounds.
